Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the defrosted puff pastry to about ⅛ inch thickness on a floured surface.
  3. Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together for an even blend.
  4. Brush melted butter over the rolled pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
  6. Cut the pastry into 1-inch wide strips with a sharp knife.
  7. Twist each strip a few times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Optionally, beat an egg and brush over the tops of each twist.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
  10. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
