- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the defrosted puff pastry to about ⅛ inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together for an even blend.
- Brush melted butter over the rolled pastry.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
- Cut the pastry into 1-inch wide strips with a sharp knife.
- Twist each strip a few times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Optionally, beat an egg and brush over the tops of each twist.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
