  • 1 package Frozen Gyoza Dumplings Ensure they're vegan
  • 1-2 cups Heirloom Tomatoes Sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.5 cup English Cucumber Chopped
  • 2 pieces Scallions Chopped
  • 1 pieces Red Chili Pepper Thinly sliced, optional
  • 10 leaves Basil Leaves Torn
For the Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Tamari (Low Sodium) Soy sauce can be used
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar Red wine vinegar is a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup Honey can be used as an alternative
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 0.5 cup Crispy Fried Onions

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Steam gyoza dumplings according to package instructions for 6-8 minutes until tender. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and toss with sesame oil.
  2. In a small bowl, combine tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  3. Chop heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, and scallions. Mix in the bowl with the dumplings.
  4. For added heat, slice red chili pepper and sprinkle over the mixture.
  5. Pour the dressing over the ingredients and toss gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with basil, sesame seeds, and crispy fried onions before serving.
