- Marinate the chicken by soaking the thighs in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Prepare the coating by mixing flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the marinated chicken in the seasoned flour mixture until well-covered.
- Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat, aiming for 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the chicken for 5–7 minutes on one side, flipping to cook for another 5 minutes until golden and cooked through.
