Preparation Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine hot water with matcha powder, Kahlua, and honey if desired. Whisk for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently add mascarpone, sugar, vanilla, and salt to the whipped cream. Fold until combined.
- Dip ladyfingers into the matcha mixture for about 2 seconds per side. Arrange them at the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Smooth out the top.
- Repeat the dipping and layering process with remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
