Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan well.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, maple syrup or honey, oil, and optional vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and springy to touch.
  7. Cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  8. Once cool, add your choice of toppings.
