Ingredients

For the Pasta
  • 16 oz Pipe Rigate Pasta Use this to create the perfect cheesy vessel for your brisket; it's thick enough to hold all the flavors.
For the Cheese Sauce
  • 2.5 cups Whole Milk Adds a creamy base for your cheese sauce; substitute with 2% milk for a lighter option.
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream Boosts richness and creaminess; half-and-half works well for a lighter choice.
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth Deepens the flavor of the sauce; feel free to swap for chicken broth or even water.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Enhances the dish's flavor profile.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Adds savory depth to your cheese sauce.
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama Seasoning Brings a lovely kick; Cajun seasoning can substitute it, or skip it for a milder taste.
  • 0.5 tsp Ground Mustard Introduces a gentle tanginess.
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Adds a warm color and subtle earthiness.
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper Essential for seasoning.
For the Cheeses
  • 2 cups White Cheddar Cheese, shredded Provides a sharp bite, essential for that creamy cheesiness.
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded Enhances the dish with a stronger cheese flavor and extra creaminess.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a vigorous boil, then add the pipe rigate pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot to keep warm.
  2. In the same pot, pour in the whole milk, heavy cream, and vegetable broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Gradually sprinkle in the shredded white cheddar and sharp cheddar cheese into the simmering liquid. Stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Add in the garlic powder, onion powder, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, ground mustard, turmeric, and black pepper. Stir well as it simmers for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. In a separate skillet, combine the shredded leftover brisket, beef broth, and barbecue sauce over medium heat. Stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  6. Gently fold the pasta into the cheese sauce until well coated. Serve topped with the brisket mixture and a drizzle of barbecue sauce.
